Fruit from the Mount Barrow vineyard. Wow. What a ripper this is. Powerful and intensely concentrated. Scintillating. Titillating. Rippling layers of flavour – I often describe Mount Barker as capable of producing rieslings of muscularity, strength and prowess: this is the very definition. The warmer year is seductive in this context, with the ripe, plush fruit propped up by vertical tent poles of acid. Awesome.

A powerhouse riesling delivered with a taut and tense restraint. This was a good season for riesling and it shows in the intensity on the nose with that typical mx of citrus and pear underpinned by a fresh sea spray acidity. Very long precise palate. A wine with cellaring potential.
