Legendary Islay whisky distiller, Laphroaig, are synonymous for producing some of the world's greatest and most intense single malt whiskies. Their 18 year old expression is made in very limited quantities each year and savoured by a fortunate few. A supple, sweet and spicy Islay peat smoke greets you when you first open the bottle. The immediate taste is an oak sweetness, a contribution from 18 years in the barrel, with a faint hint of ocean salt notes, testimony to its time maturing on the remote island of Islay. The Whisky is non-chill filtered, adding depth of taste and an oily smoothness to the textured, full bodied finish. A classic Islay.
