About this product

Fermented and aged in oak for an average of 25 years this wine is a deep tawny colour. It has a layered aromas of raisins, grilled nuts and fruit cake. The palate is defined by rich and intricate complexity with flavours of caramelised toffee, dried fruit and vanillin oak, finishing with immense depth and length.

This is so far the best Australian Tawny which tastes very close to the top-range Portuguese Porto I have tried. Great aromas and rich flavour of fruits! It has no earthy taste like the 20 years old Penfold's Tawny. Highly recommended.

tasted sept 2024. firstly, almost completely missing the green edge described in the expert review (something i always associate with a freshness on the palate, and yes, that lacked). lovely deep, complex, toffeeyed nose, but big, not delic
