The Yarra Valley and Mornington Peninsula may be household names when it comes to wine, but Victoria's smaller regions, like Heathcote, the Pyrenees and the Bellarine Peninsula, are producing some exceptional wines that fly well under the radar. That said, Victoria is known for more than its wine, with the world's best gin producer, Four Pillars, calling the southeastern state home alongside a whole host of other distillers. And we haven't even mentioned the craft brewers, whose beers haunt inner-city Melbourne's laneways like hoppy ghosts.
