Why is the price of a product on your website sometimes different to the price that comes up on a Google search?

We strive to provide our customers with great service and great prices as part of Our Lowest Liquor Price Guarantee program (LLPG). To ensure that we keep this promise to our customers we regularly check our competitors’ advertised prices on a wide range of products, then beat them. If a customer happens to find a competitor's price on the same stocked liquor product which is lower, we encourage customers to let us know and we'll beat it on the spot.

Dan Murphy's prices may differ between stores and are subject to change depending on whether they relate to Members Offers, specials or due to our Lowest Liquor Price Guarantee. We do this to provide our customers a great service.

When you perform a Google search, Google crawls and indexes pricing across the web, scraping pricing data from our webpages at various points in time/frequency set by Google, which then appears under Google organic search results for our products. Unfortunately, the scraping/crawling sometimes doesn't keep up/reflect our price changes, which may result in higher or lower pricing being displayed in search results than our actual price.

We appreciate that this can be frustrating when you are searching for products. With that in mind, the best way to check our prices is by visiting our website directly at https://www.danmurphys.com.au and search for the product you're interested in. When doing this, be sure to set your local store or delivery postcode in the shopping cart, as pricing may vary from store to store, and if you are a member, we often have member-only specials. We are, of course, more than happy to assist you if you have queries so please reach out.
